Elu, Shadow and Pale Face

Elu, Shadow and Pale Face     Elu gave us a bit of a scare recently. After having the contraceptive injection we witnessed several tied matings with shadow and then after the correct time period she showed all the signs of being pregnant. She dug numerous den sites and we were convinced she would have pups. It is now evident she had a phantom pregnancy.       Shadow remains in top position and spends a lot of time with Elu. He is more confident than Pale Face and gives the typical piercing Alpha stares to those he knows. Pale face spends lots of time on the fence line defending his territory and chasing the European boys up and down. All appetites have reduced in comparison to the winter months and everybody has now completed shedding their winter fur and all looking sleek and slinky.
